Despicable Me (a lament)
O God, You are loving and kind
Yet, I am hurt and angry at Your church
Why did they embrace a despicable man?
Make them see their folly; their idolatry.
For, I am hurt and angry at Your church
I want her to weep and keen
Make them see their folly; their idolatry
Pierce their hearts to feel my pain.
I want her to weep and keen
Why did they embrace a despicable man?
Pierce their hearts to feel my pain
O God, You are loving and kind.

Thanks, Robbie.
Too bad Jeremiah already has the inspired copyright on lamentations, but yours is worthy of thought. I hope, though, that the church as a whole is not guilty of your complaint. We do live in interesting times. Wendell
Excellent lament. Makes me want to rip my clothes and put on sack cloth and ashes. What if Christians showed up in church tomorrow like that?
We might experience renewal!
